Backyard Picnic Date

Backyard Picnic Date

Our 36 inch table is perfect for a backyard picnic date! It is not too big and not too small. We began this table setup with a 90 inch Black Gingham Linen. This ties in the picnic vibe just right! We decided to add color to this table by using a Butter Creme Lamour runner and Canary Polyester napkins. For china we decided to use ivory with gold band dinner plates and salad/dessert plates. As far as flatware goes, we like keeping it simple and used our Tivoli Simple dinner set. To give it a more picnic vibe we went to Dollar Tree and purchased mason jars, paper straws, a glass bottle and some cute yellow flowers.

What better way to connect and enjoy your loved one than with a nice outdoor date that you planned all on your own! You too can easily do this in the comfort of your own backyard! Roses, Linens, & Napkins

Roses-&-Flowers-Overview

For this week’s table we decided to go all out with flowers and roses. We started the concept with just the beautiful rosette linen. Then we added in the crystal candelabra and realized it needed some color. That’s when the little flowers came into place. After adding in the china, glassware, and flatware we noticed that it still needed something to bring the plates and table all together. We then went to Pinterest and found an easy rose folded napkin DIY.

Fourth of July is almost here. This is the time when many beaches, lakes, and other family friendly places get packed. Why not relax at home during this time and have a barbecue? There is no need to be dealing with a huge crowd and getting stuck in traffic just because you’re trying to get to that special place. Summer is the best time of the year to gather friends and family together over a delicious barbecue meal. We have the best equipment to have at your next barbecue including a barbecue that comes in 2′ by 3′ or 2′ by 5′. We also carry a wide selection of chairs and tables.

Fun Pinwheel Table

Pinwheel TableToday is the first day of summer! We decided to celebrate this fun season here at American Event Rentals with a colorful pinwheel table. This table is really fun and affordable to do if you’re on a budget. All we did for the center pieces is buy flower pots, rocks and pinwheels from Dollar Tree, and put them all together. We didn’t spend more than $10 to make these 3 pinwheel pots.

Making the pinwheel napkins was a little tricky at first because there was one step that got confusing. We had to watch a tutorial by Amy Buchanan to finally get the hang of it.

It’s December and what better way to celebrate than with a holiday recipe! Funfetti popcorn is an easy and fun recipe to do with the kids or make for an event. We came across this recipe on Cooking Classy‘s website.

Materials:

  • Popcorn Machine or microwave
  • 1/2 cup popping popcorn kernels, or 2 bags tender white popcorn
  • 1 (12 oz) bag Vanilla Candy Melts (such as Wilton Candy Melts)
  • 1/3 cup of broken pretzel pieces
  • 1 (12 oz) bag green and red Milk Chocolate or Mint M&Ms
  • Red, white, & green sprinkles

Steps:

  1. Pop popcorn in popcorn machine or microwave if it is packaged in microwave bags
  2. Put popped popcorn, M&Ms, and broken pretzels in a bowl and mix
  3. Melt vanilla candy melts in microwave in 30 seconds stirring after each interval until melted and smooth
  4. Pour half of the candy melts over the popcorn mix and stir
  5. Sprinkle the red, white, and green sprinkles over the mix and stir
  6. Add the rest of the candy melts to the mix and stir and add more sprinkles right after so they stick on before the candy melt hardens
